Our Future
During the current economic climate the housing market has
probably suffered more than any other sector. We are continually
receiving mixed messages from the media and this is causing both
vendors and purchasers to be cautious and hesitant about moving
forward with their plans for the future. It is definitely a buyers
market and for those with the funds available, bargains are to be
found. Vendors must listen to their agents regarding pricing if
they really want to sell and then be in a position themselves to
find a bargain! From 1st August 2011 we will be ‘joining
forces’ with Schofields, another independent estate agent in
the town. Mel Schofield, the proprietor has been trading in
Hunstanton for nearly 30 years and will bring with him a wealth of
experience and local knowledge. Lynda Brister and Sue Wood took
over ‘Martins’ from Martin Belton in May 2007 having
both worked with him since May 2004. Mel, Lynda and Sue are all
professionally qualified with the National Association of Estate
Agents and not only do they own and manage the office; they also
conduct viewings, valuations and meet the public in the front
office. Being owners of the business our prime concern is to sell
your property as … “NO SALE, NO FEE!” Apart from
the business owners, Jackie Todd our weekend sales negotiator is
also professionally qualified with the NAEA and has worked in
Estate Agency for many years. We are confident that this move will
benefit all concerned. The consolidation of two established
professional independent firms will give a stronger and more
flexible approach to marketing your property. We will continue to
trade from our current prominent town centre location where we have
the scope to advertise all our properties in our extensive window
displays as well as in our window in Heacham High Street. We
continue to be the only agent in the town open 7 days a week
including Bank holidays (March to October inclusive).
