Sue Wood & Lynda Brister, partners in Martins Estate Agents began working for Martin Belton when he founded the business in May 2004. Martin started his independent career in 1979 having worked for a large local firm of Estate Agents during the previous 10 years. He was a partner in local firm Belton Duffey for many years before leaving in 2004 to concentrate on building Martins in Hunstanton.
Sue & Lynda qualified as members of the National Association of Estate Agents and became partners in the business in 2007. They are both hands on partners with a wealth of experience in all aspects of estate agency and lettings. Martin has since become a consultant to the business, now working part-time in the office but always on call if required. The team is completed by Jackie Todd, who recently moved to the area from Bishops Stortford where she worked for another independent firm of Estate Agents. Jackie has also gained the NAEA level 3 award in Sale of Residential Property.
The firm prides itself on offering a personal service to all its clients. As members of the National Association of Estate Agents, a professional body set up to regulate Estate Agents’ practice, we keep abreast of the ever changing legislation within the business.
Since we have been in Hunstanton we have undoubtedly made a considerable impact locally, having an enviable prominent corner position in the town centre. With a state of the art computer system installed, we are able to respond to clients’ requirements more quickly using our facility of sms messaging and email. This is closely managed by the staff ensuring that all applicants and clients receive the appropriate information as required. We are also currently the only Agent in town to open on Sundays and Bank Holidays from March to October inclusive.
Unique to Hunstanton and the immediate area, Martins are also members of The Mayfair Office with 300 linked offices across the country enabling us to have preferential opportunities for National newspaper editorial and advertising. We are also members of the IPEA, a local organisation of professionally qualified Estate Agents regulated by the National Association of Estate Agents and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, thus ensuring that members are suitably qualified to manage your property matters. All members are non-corporate, independently owned and local firms (with nationwide coverage offering a personal service).
